Heat flux is expected to be uni-directional away from the Sun as shown by the arrow. Just above is a completely disconnected plasmoid. Heat flux is expected to be either absent or bidirectional. Next above is a magnetic bottle or tongue, connected at both ends to the Sun. The heat flux here is also expected to be bidirectional. At the top is pictured the simplest flux-rope topology.
